Cabinet “Lövåsen” by Åby Möbelfabrik, Sweden, 1940s
A rare cabinet produced by Åby Möbelfabrik in Sweden during the 1940s. The model “Lövåsen” belongs to the sportstugemöbel (cabin furniture) tradition — characterized by functional simplicity, sturdy forms, and the use of natural materials.
Made of pine with a warm tone and visible grain. The cabinet stands on a profiled base with splayed legs and has two doors divided by vertical fluting. The black wrought-iron hinges and key plates add a clear handcrafted touch.
An excellent example of Swedish cabin furniture — a design tradition where simplicity, honesty, and function meet genuine craftsmanship. Ideal for those who appreciate timeless Swedish design and natural materials.
