Rare set of Swedish designer pine chairs, 1930s

A very rare set of six chairs designed by an unknown maker in Sweden during the 1930s.

Crafted from solid pine, these chairs feature a beautifully aged patina, a sculpted seat, and a strikingly brutalist backrest design.

Originally purchased for a summer house on Runmarö in the Stockholm archipelago, together with a matching dining table and living room furnishings from the same series.

An outstanding example of the so-called sportstugemöbler—a uniquely Swedish category of summer cabin furniture that blends functionality with rustic charm.
