Rare Swedish pine table, 1930s
A rare and distinctive Swedish pine table from the 1930s, crafted by an unknown maker.
Made from solid pine, the table showcases a rich, naturally aged patina, a sturdy, well-proportioned frame, and bold, functional lines—characteristics typical of the so-called sportstugemöbler, a uniquely Swedish style of furniture made for summer cabins.
This table was originally part of the same commissioned interior as the armchairs, dining table and dining chairs from a summer house on Runmarö in the Stockholm archipelago, forming a harmonious ensemble that reflects the rustic simplicity and functional charm of Scandinavian summer living.
A piece of genuine Nordic design history, offering both character and enduring craftsmanship.
