Ceiling lamp model 677, Edvard Hagman AB, Sweden, 1950s

Swedish modern ceiling lamp model 677 in patinated brass, produced by Edvard Hagman AB (EHAB), Sweden, during the 1950s. Designed by Carl Malmström.

The lamp features five conical shades with delicate pierced detailing along the rims, suspended from a central canopy. The composition is balanced and sculptural, combining functional light distribution with refined decorative restraint.

Carl Malmström worked closely with Carl-Axel Acking during this period, and the lamp shows clear affinities with Acking’s design language, particularly in its proportions and treatment of brass. A characteristic example of Swedish modern lighting from the post-war era.
