Pair of Hans-Agne Jakobsson porcelain and smoked glass table lamps, 1950s

A rare and highly decorative pair of table lamps designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by his own company in Markaryd, Sweden, during the 1950s.

Each lamp combines a tall, elegantly tapered base in white glazed porcelain with a large spherical shade in smoked glass. The contrast between the slender sculptural bases and the dark glass globes creates a distinctive and sophisticated silhouette.

When illuminated, the smoked glass softly reveals the light source and produces a warm, atmospheric glow. Both lamps retain their original manufacturer’s labels.
