Pair of wall lamps, unknown designer, Sweden, 1940s
A pair of striking wall lamps from the early 1940s, produced for Brukshotellet in Wikmanshyttan, inaugurated in 1943. Possibly unique. Despite the unknown designer and maker, the lamps show a high level of craftsmanship and a clear sensitivity to form and light.
Executed in brass and lacquered metal. The perforated shade creates a delicate, patterned light, while the white lacquered metal backplate softly reflects the glow, giving both a gentle and atmospheric effect. Refined brass details throughout.
