An unusual stoneware table lamp designed by Gertrud Lönegren for Rörstrand, Sweden, 1930s.
The rounded ceramic body features deeply carved vertical relief decoration and a beautifully varied glaze in warm ochre, brown and beige tones.

The unusually narrow opening, differing from Lönegren's other known vase designs, suggests that this model may have originally been produced as a lamp rather than later converted from a vase. Marked Rörstrand underneath.
